WPIX-TV NEW YORK CITY MAGICAL WEDDING
PRESENTED BY SCOTTO BROTHERS
The entry period for the WPIX-TV New York City Magical Wedding Presented by Scotto Brothers (“Contest”) runs from 12:00 AM (ET) on July 1st, 2010 to 11:59 PM (ET) on August 11, 2010 (“Entry Period”). The sponsor of this Contest is WPIX-TV, 220 East 42nd Street, New York, NY (“Sponsor”). The Contest shall be subject to these Official Rules, and by entering, all participants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions herein.

- How to Enter: Only an eligible couple as set forth below (“Couple”) may enter; no individual entries will be accepted. To enter, a Couple may log on to www.NYCMagicalWedding.com (the “Contest Website”) complete and submit the official entry form including the Couple’s love story and secret to happiness (the “Love Story”) as well as a photograph of the Couple (the “Photograph”). All entries must be submitted and received within the Entry Period. Participants may enter only as a Couple, and the limit is one entry per Couple. Sponsor’s clock shall be the official clock of the Contest.
- Eligibility: This Contest is open to legal U.S. residents, residing in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut who are 21 or older as of July 1, 2010, engaged (or similarly committed as of January 1, 2010), not currently married, and planning a wedding or commitment ceremony (“New York City Magical Wedding”) within twelve months of the close of the Entry Period. Each member of the Couple must meet the foregoing eligibility requirements. Couples must be willing and available to participate with staff from Sponsor in certain pre-New York City Magical Wedding activities and to hold a New York City Magical Wedding and honeymoon incorporating the elements set forth below. If you are unwilling or unable to do so, do not enter this Contest. Winners who unwilling or unable to do so will be disqualified, and all prizes shall be forfeited. Each member of the Couple must hold a valid U.S. passport, be of good moral character, have never been convicted of a crime of any nature (other than a misdemeanor moving violations), and must have nothing in its background that would be an embarrassment to Sponsor as determined in their sole discretion. Each member of the Couple must also be willing to authorize, undergo, and cooperate with a background check if requested by Sponsor. Employees (and the employees’ immediate family members and those living in the same household) of the Sponsor and of its advertising companies, parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, promotion and delivery contractors and/or public relations companies, are not eligible to participate. A potential winner may be requested to provide the Sponsor with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry and that all eligibility requirements are met. THIS CONTEST IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW AND OUTSIDE NEW YORK, NEW JERSEY OR CONNECTICUT.
- Finalist Selection: A panel of judges from the Sponsor will judge the Love Stories based on the following criteria: level of commitment to each other, 40%; a grand gesture, 20%; how emotionally moving the Love Story is, 40%. The Photograph will not be a factor in the judging. Provided there are a sufficient number of eligible entries, the three couples with the three highest Love Story scores will be named Finalist Couples. In the event of a tie, the first tie-breaker will be the level of commitment factor, and the second tie-breaker will be the emotionally moving factor. Entrants agree that all decisions made by the panel of judges relating to any and all issues related to this Contest are final and binding.
- Three Finalist Couples Notification and Announcement: Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential Finalist Couples by telephone or by e-mail using the information provided in the entry form on or about August 12, 2010. If a potential Finalist Couple cannot be contacted or does not respond by 9:00 AM (ET) on August 16, 2010, if one or both members of a potential Finalist Couple does not fulfill the eligibility requirements, if one or both members of a potential Finalist Couple does not adhere to the Official Rules, or if the prize notification is returned as undeliverable, that potential Finalist Couple will be disqualified and Sponsor may select a new potential Finalist Couple by the same criteria set forth above. The Finalist Couples will be required to appear on the WPIX-11 Morning News on or about August 18, 2010. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
- Required Documentation: Each member of each Finalist Couple will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release and a Publicity Release and such other documents as are reasonably required by Sponsor. Failure to return all such documents set forth herein within two days of the date Sponsor sends the forms to Finalist Couple will result in the Finalist Couple being disqualified and another Finalist Couple may be selected from remaining eligible entries, based on the criteria set forth above.
- Winning Couple Selection: Once the Finalist Couples have been determined and announced, Sponsor will post the Finalist Couples’ Photographs and Love Stories on the Contest Website and conduct on-line voting on the Contest Website voting from August 18, 2010 at 9:00 AM (ET) to September 2, 2010 at 11:59 PM (ET). During the on-line voting segment, members of the public will be allowed to vote for their favorite among the three Finalist Couples. Limit 1 vote per person, per email address. Voters must be 18 years of age or older as of August 18, 2010. The Couple with the most votes in the on-line voting portion of the Contest will be deemed the potential winning Couple (the “Winning Couple”). In the event of a tie, the tie-breaker will be the scores received from judges in the Finalist Couple selection phase of the Contest.
- Winning Couple Notification and Announcement: Sponsor will announce the potential Winning Couple on air on the PIX Morning News on September 8, 2010 (or on a date designated by Sponsor), and Finalist Couples must be willing and able to participate in that show to remain eligible (both members must be in attendance). The potential Winning Couple may also be introduced in the PIX Morning News that same week.
- Public Voting for Elements of the NYC Magical Wedding: There will also be a public voting component of the Contest that will determine certain elements of the New York City Magical Wedding. For these elements, the public will be given up to three options and will vote on which of the three options should be incorporated into the New York City Magical Wedding. Voting will occur between September 15, 2010 at 9:00 AM (ET) and 11:59 PM (ET) on November 3, 2010 at NYCMagicalWedding.com. Sponsor will designate the times during which the public can vote on each of the elements. The public will vote on various elements (e.g. Wedding Dress, honeymoon destination, etc.), as determined by Sponsor, of the New York City Magical Wedding. Limit 1 vote per person, per email address. Voters must be 18 years of age or older as of September 8, 2010.
- The Winning Couple and the NYC Magical Wedding: The Couple will be required to incorporate the element that receives the most votes, in each category, into the New York City Magical Wedding (Certain Elements Do Not Apply). By entering, each member of the Couple agrees, if selected as the Winning Couple, to participate in the activities set forth herein, to abide by the will of the voters with regard to particular elements of the New York City Magical Wedding, to attend and participate in the New York City Magical Wedding, and to maintain reasonable standards of comportment and grooming from the Entry Period through the end of the honeymoon. If one or both members of the Winning Couple do not abide by the standards set forth above or do not participate in the activities set forth above as reasonably requested by Sponsor, the Winning Couple will forfeit the Grand Prize.
- Prize: One Grand Prize: Grand Prize includes: 1) pre-New York City Magical Wedding activities and accommodations, 2) the New York City Magical Wedding, 3) a reception, 4) the honeymoon and 5) post wedding activities. Elements and prize providers to be determined by Sponsor, but will include, wedding planning services, at minimum, a cake to feed 200 people, a Gift Card toward a bridal registry, one complete sleep system, a Gift Card toward favors and invitations, floral arrangements a couples financial roadmap, hair-styling and make-up services for twelve people, tuxedos for 4 people, bridal gown, veil & shoes for one person, wedding rings for two people, 8.5 hours of photography services and musical entertainment for the wedding, cocktail party and reception. The New York City Magical Wedding will be held on November 24th, 2010 and will be performed by a clergy provided by the couple. Reception at the Chateau Briand for up to 175 guests will include food, drink and hors’d oeuvres. The honeymoon will be an eight-day, seven-night trip for two to one of three designated destinations, as well as airfare for two to a designated destination from JFK to either St. Lucia or one of two potential destinations in Barbados (round trip airport transfers are included). Sponsor to determine specific dates and times of travel. Post wedding activities include brunch for thirty-two at The Inn at Fox Hollow and dinner at one of two Scotto Brothers restaurant locations (Blackstone Steakhouse or Rare 650 Steakhouse) for a maximum of 15 people. Total ARV: $114,945. All travel arrangements must be made through Sponsor’s designees. All expenses not specifically listed herein are the responsibility of the Winning Couple. Winning Couple will be required to travel on identical itineraries including the same departure date and return date. Air transportation and hotel accommodations must be taken together and cannot be taken separately. No changes will be made to travel details once any element(s) of the travel arrangements have been booked, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. All airline tickets issued in conjunction with prize are not eligible for upgrades, frequent flyer miles or any other promotional benefit. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen tickets, travel vouchers or certificates or similar items once they are in the Winning Couple’s possession. Prize travel is subject to capacity controls, availability, blackout dates and certain other restrictions. Travel must be roundtrip. Sponsor will determine airline and flight itinerary in its sole discretion. Any unclaimed and/or unused prize travel package or element thereof will be forfeited by prize winner and will remain the property of Sponsor. Travel is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules and those set forth by Sponsor’s air travel prize supplier, as detailed in the passenger ticket contract issued by such supplier. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash, and prize substitution will not be allowed, except at the discretion of the Sponsor. In the event the New York City Magical Wedding elements the voters select are valued at less than the ARV of the Grand Prize, the difference in prize value will not be awarded. Properly claimed prize will be awarded, but in no event will Sponsor award more prizes than are provided for in these Official Rules. Winners responsible for all taxes on prize. Please be aware that taxes on the prize will, in all likelihood, be substantial. Do not enter this Contest if you are not prepared to pay taxes on prize. In the event Sponsor does not feature the Finalist Couples or Winning Couple on air on the PIX Morning News for any reason, Winning Couple will not be entitled to alternate prize, and Sponsor is not obligated to run such features. If Winning Couple does not use all elements of prize, there will be no reimbursement.
- Other Conditions of Entry and Voting: Each Couple jointly and individually represents and warrants that the Love Story and Photograph: are the original creation of one or both members of the Couple, have not been copied in whole from any other work, have not been previously published, have not been previously submitted in another contest, does not violate the rights of any other person or company (including but not limited to privacy rights and copyrights), do not defame, libel, or slander anyone or any entity, and do not contain offensive, vulgar, obscene or profane content, as determined by Sponsor. The Love Story must be in English and no more than 300 words. Photographs must be in .jpeg formats and no smaller than 300 dpi (1200x1200 pixels). Altered or electronically enhanced images will not be considered. Each member of the Couple must be in the Photograph, but Photograph may not include other recognizable individuals Submissions that do not comply with these Official Rules shall be disqualified. Entrants agree to indemnify, defend and hold Sponsor harmless against any and all liabilities, losses, damages, claims, debts, investigations, fines, penalties, costs, expenses and settlements (including attorneys' fees and costs of litigation, settlement, judgment, interest and penalties) arising out of or related to a breach of the foregoing representations and warranties. All entry information (excluding Photographs and Love Stories) becomes the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged. Participants grant Sponsor a world-wide, perpetual license to use their submissions, including but not limited to Love Stories and Photographs, in any manner related to the Contest, without prior notice, approval or compensation, including but not limited to the first right to publish the Love Story and Photograph in any medium. Sponsor reserves the right to prohibit any entrant or voter from participating in the Sweepstakes if, at its sole discretion, Sponsor finds such entrant or voter to be tampering with the entry or voting process or the operation of the Sweepstakes, or if such entrant or voter repeatedly shows a disregard for, or attempts to circumvent, these Official Rules, or acts: (a) in a manner the Sponsor determines to be not fair or equitable; (b) with an intent to annoy, threaten or harass any other entrant or Sponsor; or (c) in any other disruptive manner. Neither the failure of Sponsor to insist upon or enforce strict performance by an entrant or voter of any provision of these Official Rules or the failure, delay or omission by Sponsor in exercising any right with respect to any term of these Official Rules will be construed as a waiver or relinquishment to any extent of Sponsor's right to assert or rely upon any such provision or right in that or any other instance.
- Responsibility Release: By entering, Couples individually and jointly agree to release, waive, and hold harmless Sponsor and its affiliates, subsidiaries, parent companies, prize providers, advertising and promotional agencies, and all of their officers, directors, shareholders, employees and agents from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, and liability arising from injuries, damages, costs, or expenses of any kind (including without limitation attorney’s fees) incurred as a result of the contestants’ participation in this Contest and/or their acceptance, use, or misuse of the prizes.
- Publicity: By entering this Contest, Couples individually and jointly agree to allow use of their name, voice, Photograph, likeness, Love Story, and any information provided in their entry in any medium of communication, including but not limited to print, Internet, radio and/or television and for any purpose, including advertising, promotional or other purposes, by Sponsor and its licensees and affiliates, without additional compensation. Entrants also agree to participate in all activities to publicize the Contest.
- Internet: Sponsor is not responsible for printing or typographical errors in any Contest-related materials; for entries that are lost, late, misdirected, deleted, incomplete, inaccurate, or garbled or entries that are processed, reported, or transmitted late or incorrectly or are lost for any reason, including computer, telephone, paper transfer, human or other error, or for electronic, computer or telephonic malfunction or error, including inability to access the Contest Website, or process any transaction thereon. If for any reason the Contest Website becomes corrupted or does not allow the proper administration of the Contest and processing of entries in accordance with these Official Rules, or if infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, actions by entrants, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes, in the Sponsor’s opinion, corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, the Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual implicated in such action and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend entry or voting through the Contest Website. In the event Contest Website entry method is cancelled during the Entry Period, the judges panel will select three Finalist Couples applying the criteria set forth above to all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to the time of the action or event warranting such cancellation through the Contest Website and to all eligible, non-suspect entries received through other means of entry. In the event this Contest is cancelled during the voting for the Winning Couple, the Winning Couple will be the Couple with the most valid, non-suspect votes received prior to the time of the action or event warranting such cancellation. If such cancellation, termination, modification, or suspension occurs, notification will be posted on the Contest Website. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE (INCLUDING THE ENTRY SITE) OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION.
